Tom Na H-Iu

Tom Na H-Iu

In 2007, Angelino Artworks had the opportunity to collaborate once again with Mariko Mori. Her new artwork was “Tom Na Current”, a colossal glass monolith exhibited in New York at the Jeffrey Deitch Art Gallery.
Numerous teams were involved in this project. The glass was crafted by a workshop in Padua, while the lighting system was connected to the Super-K neutrino observatory.
In fact, whenever a supernova explodes and fades, Tom Na H-Iu emits light, making it unique every time it is viewed.
Tom Na H-Iu draws inspiration from Celtic myths about death and rebirth, aiming to rekindle such themes in our modern world. In 2010, a new rendition was created and installed in Tōnoshō, Japan.
