Angelino Artworks & Fidia at Fuorisalone 2026
present
Still 1492 | Never Ending Story
with the support of Galleria Robertaebasta
On the occasion of Fuorisalone Milano 2026, Galleria Robertaebasta will host the artwork Still 1492 | Never Ending Story as the institutional venue of the project, welcoming Angelino Artworks, the international artist Fidia Falaschetti, and the distinguished partners involved. The gallery will thus become a central hub for relationships, encounters, and in-depth discussions throughout the week, in dialogue with the installation’s exhibition site located elsewhere.
The monumental totem, created by Angelino Artworks in collaboration with Fidia, is a work of strong symbolic impact, combining artistic research, civic engagement, and exceptional craftsmanship. Its layered structure of narrative “blocks” reflects the transformation of values over time, while expanding on the investigation initiated by Fidia in 2017. The newly introduced elements explicitly denounce the violation of the rights of Native American peoples, while celebrating the cultural and spiritual richness of their communities.
The title Never Ending Story emphasizes the continuity of these dynamics: appropriation and marginalization persist in the present, turning artistic creation into a metaphor for collective responsibility.
The artist’s direct experience with North American Indigenous communities and the dialogue with Ashley Callingbull – activist and representative of the Cree First Nations – have been instrumental in giving the work an authentic and contemporary dimension. The technical realization by Angelino Artworks, enhanced by the lighting design of Rimani, translates this conceptual complexity into a monumental structure of remarkable precision and strong scenographic impact.
Special thanks are extended to the Associazione Commercianti di via dei Fiori Chiari for their support and collaboration, as an active presence within the Brera district during the Fuorisalone.
Still 1492 | Never Ending Story is a project that transcends the exhibition dimension to become a cultural statement: an invitation to reflect on memory, identity, and collective responsibility at the heart of the international design scene.
